Social Media has been engaged with numerous benefits for the website marketers. Few benefits were tangible (like the number of likes, fans and followers) and few not (like enhanced customer service, brand recognition and developing lasting relationships). As a part of your marketing campaign you can’t regret the importance of social media. Social Media Websites are here to stay and it is up to us to make sure that we use it to their best advantages.

SEO or Search Engine Optimization is another field of online marketing, which has its own advantage in marketing your companies online. With over millions of searches being conducted everyday via search engines; a website that is not found in the search result is purely meant to be invisible. SEO is not all about raking; it’s all about building your online brand. There are many factors that affect how a site ranks in the search engines and SEO is about optimizing your site as best as possible to help it succeed.
SEO and Social Media marketing is not separated by any means, there should be an element of SEO in all your online marketing activities. As social media marketing matures, it is becoming clearer and clearer that it has an impact on a site's SEO.

Here are a few ways you can use your social media marketing activities to aid your SEO:

Social Networking Profiles
Literally, there are hundreds of Social Networking Websites are available besides the big three like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter which has its own presence in search engines intern helps in increasing your brand presence online. These smaller social networking sites will help to cover every kind of audiences on the process. Create Profiles in these sites where you have intent to be involved with and also make sure that your active profile is going to be worth much more in the long run. Social Networking sites are the best possible place to establish good and strong relationship with consumers and build a strong community.

Add Keywords into Media Posts
Sites like twitter, where it allows tweeting 140 characters, so keywords can be used in the hash tag, stylized as #keyword, which helps your tweet to get pulled in to a search results page by search engines. On other Social Networking sites like facebook, orkut, etc you have more room to target keywords in your posts. The title that you use while sharing a link is a great place to incorporate keywords. Also, writing a short description about the content of each post is another good spot to target keywords.
Drive Traffic to your Main Website
Always try to drive traffic to your company website or blog by just posting a snippet of the website content or a blog post. Include a snippet which acts as a call-to-action that drives visitors from social networking website in to your website or blog. There is no point in trying to post an entire content in to the social networking website which doesn’t give you any chance to lead them in to your website. Your social media profiles should serve as gateways to your main site, not the other way around.

Try to Reach Influential Social Media Personalities
There are many people who are regular to these social networking websites, and can be an industry leader that your target audience looks to for an advice. These influential people can help in better your brand in front of their huge audience. Establishing a connection between those people helps to brand your product faster and reach the targeted audience. Social Media marketing is a give and take technique where in which you can't expect others to share your content if you don't share theirs. Google has admitted that a link shared by an active user has more worth than the link shared by a spam account. Influence of these social media posts can be clearly seen in the search result pages. Quantity is great, but sometimes quality is worth more overall.

Maintain Reasonable Time Frame
A recent study found that Facebook post are getting 50% of their likes in first 80 Minutes and takes 22 Hours more for the same post to get 95% of likes. So need to publish the content more frequently for the better engagement among your community. Content marketing is a critical component of SEO, but it is a fine line between too much and too little content.

‘Social Sign-in’ can be used to login via Facebook and leave a comment which intern be posted in your facebook wall. Depending on how much blog commenting you are doing as a part of your link building campaign, you could be flooding Facebook with your actions. Some of your network might feel like you are spamming them and un-Like your page.

You also have to look at your target audience to best determine when you should be posting content. Another study found that "companies that post content on their Facebook pages outside normal business hours see engagement rates that are 20% higher than average."

Nowadays, business merchants believe that product sales increase when they sell their products through group deals online – several merchants have reported that their online sales have shot up by over 50% as a result of these deals. Internet marketers and e-commerce website owners have started thinking about different ways of increasing their online sales. When a users comes in searching for a product, they look for a website that offers them the cheapest price or at sdiscounted rates without compromising on quality.

A lot of different techniques are available for increasing your online sales. But one surefire method of increasing your sales is creating lot of deals, offering products for discount prices, etc and spreading them across the internet. Here are the processes to generate deals, offers, etc. and promote the same online.

WHAT YOUR NICHE IS
Competing with businesses that target a different segment or user base can often backfire. As a marketer, it is important to understand your target audience and the segment your product falls under. Understanding your niche plays the major role in competing online. A successful internet marketer should have understood his/her niche better than anyone else in the business.
HOT PRODUCTS
Offering flat discounts on all products will only erode your margins and have a net negative effect on your bottom line in the long term. Pick a few products that you feel are hot or will gain more user interest on the internet. Do some basic research on what products are being searched more often online and identify the best set of products you sell for which you can offer discounts or any other deals.
PICK COMPETITORS
One basic tenet in Internet Marketing is to research your competitors as well as you possibly can. Do not just blindly pick 15 or 20 competitors and do what they are doing as it might backfire.  Instead, understand the position of your website presence online and identify which are other websites are competing against you. Try to analyze the sales techniques they use for their online sales like the prices they offer and promotional techniques they follow to increase their online sales.

BEAUTIFUL OFFERS
It is not possible to give 50% off on all products or sell your products for free. Identify the best price for which you can offer your products and at the same time ensure that your pricing is competitive when compared with your competitors. Make buyers believe that they gain something which your competitors are not giving. Generate deals, coupons and other methods where a user can avail their discounts on the products you are promoting. Make people wait for the next of deals you offer in future.

PROMOTE YOUR OFFERS
After you generate a list of offers for the hot products, you need to promote those offers on websites that give you maximum visibility. There are lots of deals and coupon websites are available in the internet. Identify the best deal and coupon sites and add your offers there to increase your online visibility. Few of the best websites are OfferTopper.com, SnapDeal, DailyDeal, Koovs, etc.

There are lot of different internet marketing techniques available in order to increase your online sales. I have discussed one of the techniques which I believe will bring in more sales.

Art of Writing Adwords Ads

Posted by Shaikul Akbar On 2:37 AM 0 comments
There are many techniques involved in running your own Ads in Google Adwords for your company and business. But those techniques cannot be seen by your potential customers but the only thing visible is your Ad Content. It is like an Art where you need to show more concentration in bringing the outcome of it. There are certain points to be considered while writing an Ad for Adwords.
  1. Understanding unique aspects of your product or service
  2. Placing keywords in your Ad Text
  3. Analyze your competitor’s Ads
  4. Create more ad variations
  5. Infuse promotional words
  6. Ask for Call to Action
Indentify Unique Aspects:
Your products or services may not be new, but there might be some uniqueness in the way of presenting it, processing it, doing it or pricing it. There will be a unique value through which you can attract your potential customer. Try to explain your uniqueness in the Ads you’re writing. That uniqueness will stand out between the clusters of Ads displayed for a particular keyword.

Keyword Placement:
Relevancy plays a major role in getting your potential customers interested in clicking your Ads. But it is a huge task of adding thousands of keywords in your ads. Identify keyword, which you think is a potential one and that brings in more customers to your Ads. Try to infuse the keywords in Title of your Ad if not in the body. The reason behind is Google will Highlight the keyword searched by user, so there is every possibility that your Ad will be clicked very often.
Competitor’s Ads:
It’s highly vital to know how your competitors are writing their ads for the same keywords which you are targeting. Tools like Keywordspy, SEMRush is available to analyze competitor’s ads. By these tools which are the Ads are performing well for the targeted keywords. With this analysis you can write your own ad explaining your uniqueness of the same products or services.
More Ad Variations
Is it enough creating just one Ad Variation for an Ad Group? The answer is not enough. After doing so much of analysis if your single ad does not satisfies the searchers, you might your miss your potential customers. Need to create a cluster of Ad Variations based on your so far analysis. Google will display different ads based on time and will continue showing an Ad Variation that gets highest response. This will help in doing an AB testing. Once you find your potential ad, then you can pause remaining ads from showing.
Promotional Verbs and CTA
When you are selling a product, try to infuse certain promotional verbs such as discount, cheap, etc. These verbs will attract more number of searchers in to your ads. By which you can increase your ROI of your campaign. At the same time it is also good to use CTA (call-to-action) sentences in order to get the attention of searchers. CTA sentences like Buy Now, Call Now, Apply Now, etc.
The process discussed above will give you the desired ROI for your Adwords campaign. To be successful in Adwords, you need to get your Ads right. First impression is always the best one.

From the time Google introduced Adwords in 2005, it has achieved new highs among the online advertisers. Google Adwords always tries to display unique and useful URLs from which its search engine users and advertisers can benefit from. People involved in affiliates trying to display the repeated URLs to gain more money from Affiliate programs. It displays best Ads when the same URLs have been used by different advertisers.
So as an advertiser you need significant more effort in order to make your Adwords campaign successful. You need to optimize it in such a way that your ads get more online presence. Here are the few tips from which you can get maximum benefit out of your Adwords campaign.

Build a Specific Landing Page:
It is highly important to build a specific and unique Landing Page for your product or services. Do not forget that 90% of internet users are always looking for information and thus expect fresh and unique from your side. If you are selling products through your landing page, include product images, reviews, and professionally written product description. Ensure that your landing page load time is low and loads faster under any connection.
Do Not Entice a Direct Sale:
Building a trusted and long relationship with user is most important. Do not ask user for a direct sale, pre-sale or post sale when entered in to your landing page. Offer a form to the visitors to enter his/her e-mail address in order to get more information about the product or service you are promoting. Try to convince the visitor by explaining why this product or service will add value. This will help out to make real customer for the products or services you are offering.
Generate Keywords, Campaigns and Ad Groups
  1. Generate keywords for your products or services and landing page. Ensure that you select highly relevant keywords for your products or services. Try to group the generated keywords to manage different “keyword families”.
  2. Each ad group that you create should be dedicated only to one keyword family. Do not use keywords of different type in the same ad group. For ex. if your Keyword is "shoes", try an Ad Group with "Blue Shoes", "Red Shoes", "Mountain shoes" and so on. Create a set of negative keywords for which your ad does not want to show. This is to avoid clicks for no sale.
  3. Use your primary keywords in the Ad title and descriptions. Google tends to highlight the words searched by the users. It will help to increase the CTR (Click Thru Rate) of your ads. Increase in CTR will lower your CPC (Cost per click).
  4. Add some call to action in your ad description like Learn More, Visit Now, etc. in order to get more clicks for your ads. It is better to add benefits of buying your product like Low price, Discount, etc. this will keep users interested in clicking your ads.
  5. Create more ad variations in an Ad group, to show the different ad version for the group of keyword. Monitor the CTR of each of your Ad and keep what gets you more CTR and importantly more sale online. Experiment, test, evaluate, change and keep only the best results.
  6. Exclude the "content search" option to reach highly targeted traffic. Only in the case you have an amazing conversion rate, activate this option to maximize your profits.
  7. Keep calculating the value per visitor on a regular basis. Just divide the achieved earnings in a given period (i.e. weekly) thru the clicks in the same period. This is your maximum CPC (Cost per Click). Adjust your maximum bid accordingly. Try to maximize profits, not just to lower the CPC.
  8. Track your ads everyday and all time. Google provides the conversion tracking facility to monitor the performance of your Ads. You can easily identify the non performing or converting keywords and ads and delete them without spending too much money on that.
If you monitor your Ads on a regular basis and take care of the topics mentioned here, you may have a great benefit also from the new system used by Google. Try to differentiate yourself with high quality and content from your competition and enjoy your profits!

Social Networking websites like Facebook, Linkedin, Orkut, Myspace, Twitter and etc. plays a huge role in generating traffic for your websites which in turn generates more business. With millions of people arriving in to these websites every day, there is no better place to promote your business online. The latest update made by Google, looks for fresh links and the links shared by more number of people in these social networking websites. It is clear that a search engine like Google looks in to these social networking websites for the fresh content.

How to go about social networking optimization? Is it enough just posting links in these websites? The answer is, it is not enough to just post links in social networking websites. Here are the processes to perform the SN optimization.
Create a Public Profile:
You might have your own profile in these social networking websites but getting business from your friends circle is very low.  Create a public profile to show that you are new to the website. When you do that, you got know more suggestions in finding more people to connect. Use good and attractive names to portrait you in these websites. You can either create Men/Women profile, but the women profiles are the one gets more attraction by the social networking website users.
Build a Network:
Once you have created the profile, it is time to build you network. It is important on how to go about in connecting with people in these websites. Here first thing you need to understand is about the products you offer, and who could be your targeted customers to buy your products online. You need to be really careful in demographic selection. Understand who the people falls under your niche are. Because, targeting set of users who do not fall in your niche can ruin your entire campaign.
Enable Trust with in your Network:
You have a profile and build a network of people whom you want to. It is time enable trust among these people who are there in your network. Try to show that you are not here to promote your business or products rather you are here to build a friend network. If the people in your network came to know that you are here to sell products then it is very difficult to get the exposure you want and to generate more business.
Post your Links:
Once you have enable trust within your network, it is time post some links which your network feels interesting. You cannot directly post your business links straight away. Once you attain a point where you get some clicks and comments for those links that you already posted you can consider that the time has come to post your business links in to your profile. Again you need to see the days interesting products that come under your niche and post the same. Use tiny URLs to ensure that the user does not look in to the same website every time. Add some sentence which briefly explains your products and this is the place where you can add your keyword for the search engine presence. Do not forget to add call to action when you post links. Ask for user to click in your links to get some offers, discounts, etc. which increases your sales online.
I have implemented these steps when I do social networking optimization. This is worth trying and if you think I have missed some points do not forget to mention it in the comments section so that others will benefit from that.

Real-time or Fresh Link, What Does that Mean?

Posted by Shaikul Akbar On 11:46 PM 0 comments

Twitter, Buzz, Facebook, and etc. are what Google is looking for to get the latest news or information shared between the people. Google call those links as the fresh or real-time links. Google Caffeine, the latest search engine is all meant for fast indexing and it always looks for fresh links or we can say it as fresh content. News, videos, information shared between users in the social networking and media sites gathers more attention from Google.
Google believes that this information shared between the users is more interesting and also considered to show it on the top of the search engine ranking.  Although you place links in these websites, Google expects certain number of visits for those links in order to consider showing it on the top. People used to doing article submission, press releases, directory submissions will have to take some turn from traditional SEO Link building technique to attain some fresh link building to attract more users and visits.
So by just placing link in social networking and media sites will help? No way, you need to convince the users that the link you have posted has some new and interesting content to view. Hence you need to attract more and more users to visit your link. That will help to grab the attention of Google and will help to rank your website on top of SERP. By speaking of social networking and media website you also need to choose the optimum sites for you to promote your website. It is just not go anywhere and post your link. So think wisely and make sure that you post Latest, New and updated information on these websites.

Effective Keyword Research and Analysis Process

Posted by Shaikul Akbar On 4:00 AM 0 comments

As all of us know Keyword Research and Analysis is one of the primary aspects in any SEO Campaigns. Intelligent keyword research and analysis will boost your SEO Campaign and will get you more results. Every SEO Consultant would say that the keyword research and analysis area is the most important one in terms of laying your foundations for SEO with minimum options. Everyone has the same set of keyword research tools and written procedures, so what makes the difference?
Be Clear about your Niche:
Well, before developing any SEO strategies you need to understand your Niche. What the website is dealing with and what kind of service or products it offer? Or, it is purely a content website? Without being clear on your Niche your SEO process cannot be successful, because at end you might have taken a wrong turn.
Use More Tools and Choose the Best out of it:
All of us would have settle down to one favorite tool which we think would be the best one. But it is not a wise decision sticking to just one tool that narrow downs your possibility of finding out better keywords. We should always try as many tools as possible and get everything out of it. You can use Google Adwords to get the realistic keywords, and SK tool to know the search number and competition of it. By using different tools, you might get good number of keywords with greater probabilities.
Try not to pick “Exact Keywords”:
Remember, in SEO its more about doing things better than doing things right. You know your niche and their might be N Number of SEOs will probably in your same niche and will target the same Exact keyword. So track the competition of each keyword and try to select those keywords which come under your niche. Once you achieve the best out of those keywords you can concentrate on the “Exact Keywords”
Look in to your Competitors:
Looking in to your competitors plays a vital role in keyword selection process. Find your competitors that falls under you niche. Look at the keywords used by your competitors. It does not mean that you must use all the keywords used by your competitors, but you need to select keywords in such a way that it has low completion and          moderate number of search counts.
Generate keyword list and group it:
With the above mentioned process you might have generated a huge list of keywords. It is highly impossible task to promoted every keyword and achieve Top Rankings. You need t group your keywords in such a way that it can be promoted at the equal intervals or keywords that gives immediate results. Try grouping lesser competitive keywords first and once you have gained momentum or achieved results then leverage on it for the bigger ones. This will save time and will make your process smooth.
I have been following this process for some time now and it works well for me. If I had missed any major points please mention them in the comment section.
Finally Google Confirmed that Caffeine is out and it is ready for its users. Here is the Blog from Google explaining Google Caffeine Indexing.

Our new search index: Caffeine

Today, we're announcing the completion of a new web indexing system called Caffeine. Caffeine provides 50 percent fresher results for web searches than our last index, and it's the largest collection of web content we've offered. Whether it's a news story, a blog or a forum post, you can now find links to relevant content much sooner after it is published than was possible ever before.

Some background for those of you who don't build search engines for a living like us: when you search Google, you're not searching the live web. Instead you're searching Google's index of the web which, like the list in the back of a book, helps you pinpoint exactly the information you need. (Here's a good explanation of how it all works.)

So why did we build a new search indexing system? Content on the web is blossoming. It's growing not just in size and numbers but with the advent of video, images, news and real-time updates, the average webpage is richer and more complex. In addition, people's expectations for search are higher than they used to be. Searchers want to find the latest relevant content and publishers expect to be found the instant they publish.

To keep up with the evolution of the web and to meet rising user expectations, we've built Caffeine. The image below illustrates how our old indexing system worked compared to Caffeine:

Our old index had several layers, some of which were refreshed at a faster rate than others; the main layer would update every couple of weeks. To refresh a layer of the old index, we would analyze the entire web, which meant there was a significant delay between when we found a page and made it available to you.

With Caffeine, we analyze the web in small portions and update our search index on a continuous basis, globally. As we find new pages, or new information on existing pages, we can add these straight to the index. That means you can find fresher information than ever before — no matter when or where it was published.

Caffeine lets us index web pages on an enormous scale. In fact, every second Caffeine processes hundreds of thousands of pages in parallel. If this were a pile of paper it would grow three miles taller every second. Caffeine takes up nearly 100 million gigabytes of storage in one database and adds new information at a rate of hundreds of thousands of gigabytes per day. You would need 625,000 of the largest iPods to store that much information; if these were stacked end-to-end they would go for more than 40 miles.

We've built Caffeine with the future in mind. Not only is it fresher, it's a robust foundation that makes it possible for us to build an even faster and comprehensive search engine that scales with the growth of information online, and delivers even more relevant search results to you. So stay tuned, and look for more improvements in the months to come.

Psychological Myths to Increase Your Conversion

Posted by Shaikul Akbar On 12:52 AM 0 comments

As conversion being the most fluent word in marketing, online business professionals are trying to found the best possible ways to increase it. One best possible way is Google Adwords, where business owners place their company’s ads in Google and trying to increase their business conversions.
Google Adword is the best Advertising technique to promote your business online. Setting up an Adword Account and running your Ads will not be enough to get profitable conversions. Need to ensure that user clicks on your ad and make a business through your website. For which we need to do something with user psychology.
Psychological triggers are a very powerful marketing tool. Psychological triggers are the measure of thoughts where people make a decision to visit your ad upon others or convert from a visitor to buyer. Every aspect of user psychological triggers should be established in your ad copy and landing pages.
Now, we will take a look at common psychological triggers that you can weave into your ad copy and landing pages.
Engagement
Make People to feel a sense of Engagement
In real, people engage by picking up an item that they eye to buy it. Touch is a powerful form of an engagement. Make user feel the remote nature of the online experience. Look for ways you can create an engagement with the user like through your sales copy and item images.
Engagement is making the visitor feel a connection with what you’re selling. Put the visitor in the scene. Think about their existing experiences and link your product to them.
Greed
Greed is a pejorative term, but it is a human reality. We’re all a little greedy, just some are much more so than others. Your buyers are a little greedy, too.
Think about ways you can convince people they can get more for less by shopping with you.
Describe Authority
‘Huge, Excellent, Biggest, Best, Specialist’. All explains authority.
Let the user say all the above words after visiting your sales copy or landing page. User buys it off the seller who conveys a sense of authority. It’s a form of reassurance and especially important on the web where people can’t look behind the curtain.
Demonstrate Satisfaction
This is the classic “money back if not satisfied” guarantee.
After many case studies, offering user with some money back guarantee is a sure way in increasing your conversion rates. User will now feel safe to buy from your website and will be in no danger if they have made some mistakes. If you can reassure them it’s not possible to make a mistake at the point of sale, then this removes a major barrier to purchase.
Timing
Doing things at Right time, wrong place? Doing things at Wrong place, right time?
Timing is the major factor in the success of many products and services. Is this the right time to market what you have got? It is important to frame things as being “of now”. Many companies release yearly versions of products i.e. “updated for 2011!” in order to sound contemporary.
Consistency, Honesty and Integrity
Display your copy with Consistent, Honest and Integrity
Be honest in whatever you say to the user. If one statement you make is not true, then it tends to compromise entire integrity in everything else you do. Maintain good consistency when you sell the products, do not change the selling way in big deals for different products or services.
They are making offers consistent with the original purchase. The pitch has integrity because it’s related to the original purchase. It’s also a great point to provide extra value to the visitor, as Amazon often bundles offers together at a discount price.
Raise User’s Curiosity
Arouse curiosity.
This is very important to get the click-through. Play with the curiosity angle which becomes much more powerful when making any sales in your landing pages. Once the visitor has clicked through to your landing page, continue to arouse curiosity to keep them stay in the website.
Urgency
Use a sense of urgency to get over the common buyer resistance point: “I’ll think about it”
Give reasons why the buyer should buy now rather than later. Create a notion of scarcity that user will miss something if they had not buy the product right now. Notion can used like limited period offer, minimum stock available, sales closes in 2 days, and something like that.
Exclusivity
Make user feel that they are special.
Avail offers for everyone as if they are made exclusively for them. It may seem counter-intuitive to limit availability, but it can serve to drive up the price and make your product even more appealing.
Once you’ve identified people who buy on this psychological trigger, you can make them further exclusive offers on other products you sell.
